Ah, my darling. My Ditzy.
So much more than simply a cute face. She is my baby, yes, but most of all, she is my best friend.
How can a dog be my best friend? Well, she is. She has always been there for me when no one else was.
She has always listened. That's something I needed so badly when I had depression. A lot of people do. I know most dogs will sit with you and 'listen', but this one is something else. We have always connected, and she has always understood my emotional needs. It's like she was made for me.
She has always been there for me. She has always loved me. No matter the struggles of my life, no matter the struggles of my self, she always saw who I truly was - not who I saw. She loved me, for me, and nothing has changed to her. She has loved me, and I have grown to adore her way of loving.
Unconditional love. Sometimes I think God has shown me glimpses of His love through this dog. Of this unending love, which cannot be taken back because of wrongs, or deeds, or thoughts. It continues, on and on.
Many times, this dog has been prepared to give her life for me. To give all she has, all she is - for my safety, and for that, I am grateful. How much more has Christ done for us.
Another side of God through this dog is how she loves me. This dog adores me, as though I am her all. When I leave, she pines, and awaits my return below my bedroom, when I am with her, she is happy to sit and simply be. Yet it is a state of adoration - of worship, if you will - which displays how she loves. I believe God has shown me this is yet another lesson - this is how we should love Him. Forever trusting, unafraid when He is near, adoring, looking only at Him, and being completely content. This is love.
Sheer joy. Of happiness when I am with you, and thinking of you always. That is what I love about this dog. Not because she takes the place of God - no, never - but because she brings me to a deeper understanding of God - and life itself.
Lessons on Love. Perhaps we need these lessons far more than we realise.

The Stages of Letting Go - Denial
The Process of letting go - because it is just that - a process.
Sometimes letting go can appear a simple thing - sometimes it is. Sometimes letting go can be instant, a moment of no return.
It is that, too.
But I am finding the process of letting go can be likened to the process of grieving.
It has stages.
These stages may all occur at once, or slowly, and, like the stages of grief, follow their course - although, not always in a particular order.
Despite the natural course of grief which ends in resolution, someones a stage can repeat, and that person may not get beyond that stage.
This is seen a lot and can be identified with an unwillingness to even remember or move on. Moving on, also called resolution in the stages of grief, is part of the grieving process and this is where healthy grief heads - the ability to grieve the loss but also remember the good times.
In the same way, we can be when we do not let go.
While we may not be grieving a person, I think there are similar stages which inhibit and affect how wedeal with things, and our ability to let go.
I think denial is huge. Denial can be seen in many forms:
Denial of anything to let go of, of the pain of the past, of feelings, emotions, thoughts - even if we thought we shouldn't have had them. We still cannot deny what is true.
Denial is the first stage of grief. While I am not suggesting letting go of things is or isn't a grieving process (it may well be) I am comparing similarities.
In the same way people clarify and ask for a second opinion when they hear of a loved one's death, in life we also discredit problems and pain which bubbles away under the surface.
We may consider the problem insignificant, or, be very aware of its existence, and know dredging it up will be painful beyond belief - so for own own sakes, we keep it hidden. I, too, am guilty of that.
The trouble here is that while denial eases the present pain, it only bandaids a seeping wound which grows deeper and more painful, as it hides, unexposed to light.
What I mean here is that in order to let go of something, we have to recognise that there is something to let go of.
To forgive, you have to see the unforgiveness, to heal a wound you have to know it is there.
To forgive, you have to see the unforgiveness, to heal a wound you have to know it is there.
To start healing and cleaning.
To heal a wound you must know it is there.
Often the pain warns us, but we can numb the pain with denial like an aspirin.
But aspirin doesn't heal the wound, or open it up, or clean it out. Rather, it helps us to forget. Sometimes only momentarily, but yes,we have forgotten! Until it wears off and we are back to where the pain started. In the same way, denial lies, alters the truth and minimises what is really wrong.
A huge step to healing is accepting and recognising the wound. Then comes the difficult part - omce the aspirin has worn off, and the pain has become unbearable, the wound must be treated, cleaned out, and left to heal.
but sometimes the pain is too great - and we fear - or the fear is to great, and we refuse to allow the healing process to begin. We are terrified of what we might find underneath our bandaid, so we keep swigging asprin in the hopes it will go away by itself. Don't get me wrong here, but, like too much aspirin, denial eventually becomes dangerous, and causes us serious (and less-deniable) problems.
The wound finally reaches the point where it is painful beyond the work of aspirin, and beginning to debilitate, immobilse, and seep. Now everyone knows it is there.
What's worse, you now have no choice but to open it up and let it be treated - or else.
Unfortunately for us, our denial keeps these wounds hidden, leaving them to rot and get deeper.
God has always wanted to help us heal them.
Denial hasn't. Denial has prevented the healing while it was still a small cut, surface level and easily cleaned. Denial and fear have let it rot, have let it become deadly. Because denial is deadly. Hiding, lying, denying the truth - will eventually catch up. Like invisible bacteria infecting a wound, denial works deeper than we know.
The good news is that the master physician is the healer, and He does heal. No stage of sickness, no intense pain, and no problem is too big for Him.
But like an unwilling hospital patient, he cannot help or heal us if we will not admit that we need healing.
If we think we can fix it ourselves.
If its not as bad as that.
If its not there at all.
Denial is dangerous.
Truth is life.
Truth is painful.
Truth is opening up the wound, dressing it, prodding it, cleaning it.
Making it bleed.
Truth and them love.
Love is the cleansing, as care is given.
Then comes the healing.
But healing cannot be given to a hardened heart.
I think you know what I mean.
Don't let denial keep you in pain.
No pain is too great, no wound too deep.
He will heal you.
Let Him.

Frozen - Letting Go
Yesterday was an apparently normal day.
In town, getting away from the havoc of home, babysitting, and endless family/farm life.
My sister and I went to watch the movie, 'Frozen' for an afternoon out.
There's a lot more to that movie than I thought. What's more, there was a lot more to yesterday than I thought.
Needless to say, God got me - right where He wanted to.
I recommend watching that movie. It's good. But I appreciated it more than most, probably, simply in the way God revealed to me through it.
Watching the inner turmoil of Elsa, the fear and constant pain of internalising everything, holding it all in, of not feeling.
That has been my life. There was one point where I nearly walked out because it represented for me a place so unbearable and terrifying - of not being able to control, of being ruled by fear, and of the inner turmoil and constant storm inside.
That hasn't just been the last year for me, that has been my life.
But the most powerful part of the movie, for me, was where Elsa ran off after the people discovered her secret - when she couldn't hide it anymore.
Running away, up that mountain, she didn't recoil in fear, but finally let it all out.
Let it go. Everything.
Everything that had ever kept her locked away, captive to fear.
At that moment I felt God touch me, almost physically, and I knew.
Tears streaming down my face, even in a public cinema, God revealed to me that was exactly where I was now, and had been recently.
Finally, at that place, where you can no longer hold it in, no longer lie, no longer hide.
Finally, fear has no hold.
Letting go.
I have now reached that place - the place of letting go, of being who I was made to be.
That sounds like a simple explanation but it is not.
I know.
And I have let it go.
Now let it be beautiful -
Me
I will be beautiful. Who I was made to be.
Wow.
This is Who I Am.
Let it Go.

Sorting Through the Past - Facing It
How long can we avoid things too painful to bring to light again?
As long as we want to, for sure.
But that doesn't stop it being there.
I dealt with a lot while I was sick. But that didn't mean that I dealt with being sick.
A lot has changed - I have found my identity, God has freed me from depression and an eating disorder and fear - but there are always scars. I suppose my scars are scars of scars.
And God has been showing me it is time to heal them too.
To look back at the past 12 months
To see the pain - and the healing of old wounds
And accept what has happened - be grateful for it,
And move on.
It's that moving on which I find the hardest. That looking back to move forwards.
I know where I have come from.
I know where I have been.
It's a terrifying place.
But I also know the promise of tomorrow.
I could live only for tomorrow, but God won't let me. He doesn't want me to be forever scarred by my past, in fear or denial of the worst of the worst places. It is those places which I have to acknowledge the healing of in order to move forward.
I suppose one might say that you have to see the worst in order to understand the best.
To see the hurt in order to accept the healing.
God has healed me of these things. I will never be the same.
I guess the hardest part now is realising how bad they were.
How sick I was.
How much needed healing.
How much pain there was.
And how it will never be like that again.
I don't like looking through photos of me in hospital.
It reminds me of so much, and it is all so fresh.
Most of all, it reminds me of dealing with the pain that had been there for so long.
Sometimes, though, it is being reminded that pushes us forward onto the path of life - that path which God ordained and directed me towards, despite everything.
So I challenge you - as God has challenged me - to face up to the past.
Let Him show you what He wants to, what He needs to.
He wants your healing.
He wants you whole.
Sure, looking at my photos is heart wrenching, and makes me cry, and wish it hadn't been as hard.
But then I remember I would not be who I am now if not for that.
If not for pain.
If not for enduring.
If not for My God, and His great love.
If not for Him.
If there is something He is prompting you to face, then do it.
Surely pain of facing it has got to be better than carrying inward pain around like a wounded, dying animal?
Let Him heal you.
As I will let Him heal me.
I will face up to these fears - this fear of how terrible, and dark, and deep, and deadly that place was.
I will remember.
And I will know who My God is and what exactly it is He has done for me.
He has taken me out of that place.
And I can never go back.
That alone gives me strength to go on.

Glorious Ruins
Recently God has been showing me there is still more to heal.
That hasn't come as a surprise to me, I suppose I simply hoped the purification had stopped for just a little while. It seemed not to be.
Yet that is a good thing.
This morning I listened to a sermon by Brian Housten. What spoke to me about this message was not simply the content, but the way God directed it at me.
Recently I have been drudging up more mess thanks to Him, and we have been working on the same topic a while now.
Another step forward, this message (and song) inspired me to believe in the impossible.
That the ruins of life, love and relationships can again become glorious - as they were made to be.
There is that hope - and a God who fulfills it.

Glorious Ruins
VERSE
When the mountains fall
And the tempest roars You are with me
When creation folds
Still my soul will soar on Your mercy
PRE-CHORUS
I'll walk through the fire
With my head lifted high
And my spirit revived in Your story
And I'll look to the cross
As my failure is lost
In the light of Your glorious grace
CHORUS
Let the ruins come to life
In the beauty of Your Name
Rising up from the ashes
God forever You reign
And my soul will find refuge
In the shadow of Your wings
I will love You forever
And forever I'll sing
VERSE
When the world caves in
Still my hope will cling to Your promise
Where my courage ends
Let my heart find strength in Your presence
When the mountains fall
And the tempest roars You are with me
When creation folds
Still my soul will soar on Your mercy

The Hope of Christmas - and Why it Remains
The Hope of Christmas - is more than the event, more than that number on a calendar, more than the date. IT is more than presents, or family, or the time spent together.
Indeed, the hope of Christmas is the existance of Christmas itself.
Regardless of the suggested methods of the day's naming and occurance, the name alone represents the day as a day to remember - the day of Christ's birth.
This hope, the hope found only in Christmas, is not simply the feeling of goosebumps as the day draws near, nor the excitememnt of a celebration.
In fact, God recently showed to me the true hope of Christmas.
"It is finished.
It was finished long before you were born."
Ponder on that a while. Ponder on the fact that, without Christmas, there would be no child Jesus, no saviour, no redemption from hell. No escape, no rescue,
No Hope.
Without that hope, all would be lost. Keep that in mind these holidays - this Christmas - and many more to come. Without Jesus, our saviour, all would be lost, and there would be no reason to hope. No future for anyone. And nothing more than death.
What an amazing God we have.
Ponder on that.

A Song - to the Lost
Down. On your face.
Not Falling, not rising.
Waiting,
for something Holy,
something more.
Nothing changes,
no storm, no wind
Waiting,
time means nothing.
What do you expect, O Child of Mine?
Are you waiting for a rush of wind?
A fire?
A storm?
Close your eyes, stop looking hard
Why do you believe I come from afar?
You listen.
Hush.
Wait, O Child of Mine.
Do you know what you are waiting for?
Your heart is longing, yet you do not understand
Can you not trust Me with this?
Trust Me to know
To know why your heart aches
Believe in Me -
stop pushing so hard.
Listen!
You hear nothing.
Stop looking with your eyes
Stop hearing with those ears
You will find nothing.
What you search for,
O Child of Mine
Is deeper
Far deeper
Further than you know
Bigger than your dreams
Impossible, it is not.
You despair
Yet believe in this
The time will come
Has come
for this.
Your heart tells you so.
Put aside your world
all you know.
My Child, you were made for this
Did I not create you for Me?
Surely I put this within you
My Child.
Surely I made you for Me.
Reach in within you,
search your heart
It has already told you so.
Am I not God, and Father, and Creator?
You were created for Me.
Stop searching
Stop fighting
Breathe.
Know Me.
I am there.
I am within you.
Let it all fall away
O Child of Mine
let nothing more matter.
No more
Let it go.
Receive Me.
Breathe Me in -
I am yours.
Wholly,
Fully
Passionately
Perfectly.
Breathe in every part of Me.
Let Me restore You.
Let Me make You whole, My Child.
You are Mine
I Am Yours.
I Am Yours.

Feminism, The Woman, and God
I find this image the perfect example of a beautiful, feminine lady, who not only carries an air of innocent beauty and grace but also a wistful, and perhaps enchanting look. From any person's point of view - be they man, woman, or even child, this young girl appears not only tender, calm and loving, but also very much her own person.
She is, I feel, a very good example to begin with.
Over the past few years (years, and recently, months), God has been revealing to me many things about myself, about who I was created to be - and also who I was not. By that I mean that my identity was not wrapped up in someone or something else, neither was it determined by how hard, or by what or who I tried to be.
God has been teaching me (and I slowly learning) about not only seeing and becoming the person He intended me to be, but the incredible beauty of that - not in the worldly sense of beauty, but in the sense of a sense of being, of perfection, of all being good, and as it was meant to be. True beauty is not based on appearance at all - but goes beyond, deeper, and further into things we cannot understand. God is beauty, perfection and goodness. Only when we understand that can we even begin to grasp the concept of beauty.
It is this 'beauty' in myself that I am finally seeing, and appreciating, and even loving. Not in a vain way, nor in a false way, but as one in awe of the incredible person God has created me to be - and the many parts to that person.
Now, the point of my further topics is not necessarily myself, but rather a series of revelations regarding what I feel the Lord is directing me to write on.
Particularly, as I am a female, and a young woman, and this is now my identity - I feel it is very important for even myself to understand exactly who I was made to be - and who I was not. I feel this may become a series of very interesting revelations - which hopefully can teach me something along the way.
I also know that there is so much locked up in this 'woman' (I do speak particularly to girls here, but guys, please do read) that affects us on the outside, and the physical expressions of sometimes, trying to be that person when we don't know how - anorexia, eating disorders, depression - I've had experience in some of these realms. I know that while some of this is rooted in our grasp on life, it is also very much rooted in our acceptance of who we are - or rather, not - and who we were made to be - and as women, gender plays a huge part in it. Our gender does define who we are, just as much as our personality does - and there's no escaping it - nor should there be.
I hope (and pray) that someone will read this series of revelations and be encouraged, and learn (as I am sure I will also) to embrace, welcome and see as true beauty - the person we are -and for me, that means as a woman - because God made me that way.

Satisfaction IS Found - in the One and Only
I think many of us go through the same struggles.
The struggles of life - I need not list them here.
My point being here, is that, once, I posted a topic about my own personal struggle (with God) and the seemingly endless struggle with finding satisfaction. (Being fully filled.)
I shall not say that it has happened recently, but rather over a period of time - I have indeed found that satisfaction, the deep, true, and filling satisfaction given only by God.
And when I speak of satisfaction I do not indeed speak of physical or emotional satisfaction - no - I am referring to the Spiritual.
And it is this aspect which can only ever be fully filled by God - and only God. That 'void' that so many of us hear about, know about, and try to fill with other things.
The thing is,
Only God can satisfy you.
Not only will He, but He delights in satisfying - in filling, over-flowing, renewing.
Satisfaction must be found in God alone - and then other forms of satisfaction flow from that.
If you are desperate, as I was, not too long ago, hungry, longing - and eager; ask God. He will satisfy you, He will fulfill His every promise and be as fulfilling and satisfying as a well-eaten physical meal - filling, nourishing, and exactly what was needed.
Let Him fill You.

This song, 'Satisfy' - by Tenth Avenue North, is a plea, a comission - from Our hearts to God's. Asking Him, begging Him, to be our satisfaction. To replace in us and around us anything that matters (or what we thought mattered) and fully, completely, fill it with Him. Amen to that!

The Gift of Music - And God.
There's something about Music... which winds its way through our lives, gripping, shaping, leading, in a way that never really ends. Songs are written, lyrics change, music does not. Yet with all the endless-ness of this invention, it never grows old. It also remains deep within each one of us - in many ways, expressing what we - and mere words - cannot.
The Gift of Music.
I have known this gift all my life but have never relied on it as much as I do now. The above song is simply another example of wording something one cannot.
My year, my life, my struggle - as it has been - is summed up in both of these songs. Beautiful, haunting, challenging.
The current struggle of life may not be as life-threatening but it still remains, forcing me (forcing us all) to daily let go, let God, and simply Trust, even when it seems we cannot.
For the battle has not been won yet, the war is still waging, and the struggles continue.
One thing remains the same -
This Trust, this Hope, this God.
Amen.

Revelations of a Sinner
Revelations of a Sinner.
How does one attempt to write on that topic if the very title seems drastic or even extraordinary Well, I suppose I shall have to simply go for it.
A Sinner. Ooh... none of us like that word. (Well, I certainly don't.) It seems Christian society has somehow managed to label and box into categories what we define as Sin, and who of us are sinners.
Truth is, we live in a fallen world, we all sin, and we are all sinners. Ooooh.
Now bear with me - before you think I am either extreme or hypocritical.
I did say these were revelations.
Firstly, to be a sinner we all have to do something - Sin.
Unfortunately its so natural to us that it becomes a default mechanism.
Sin is disobedience against God. There, I've said it. You know that, you say?
Well, I believe what is more important than the act of sinning itself is the attitude of the heart. That's what God sees.
Something that is not considered 'sin' can be obviously sin - in Gods eyes - if in the heart, the motive is rebellion against God.
Oftentimes, we are not even aware of this sin, and it repeats on us , creating repetitive default patterns. Sometimes there is sin in our lives we know about but cannot stop doing - chances are it is an established pattern caused by a wrong heart attitude.
God looks at the heart if men. He sees often what we do not.
Sometimes, I think we believe the confusion and the deception so much we refuse to search our hearts and discover they are stinking rotten.
The Bible says they are. Yet even when we have found, or discovered that rottenness it seems impossible to clean.
Well, as Christians, we do all know the answer to that.
Jesus. He came in order that we might be cleansed, made whole, every stain removed.
But.
In order for this to happen, one thing has to change.
The attitude of the heart.
Yep. Jesus can, and will cleanse and restore us if we ask, but in order for that cleansing to remain in all its fullness, something has to change.
Oftentimes we are unclean because of choices we have not made; other peoples influences and decisions, etc. but even the heart of a little child can choose to rebel - against God and its parents - and that little act there is Sin.
In order for Jesus's cleansing to be complete, there is a third step.
Repentance.
Repentance follows confession. Confession is the act of recognising sin and asking forgiveness for it.
All very well, but a child could confess, ask forgiveness and keep licking a power point Eventually this dangerous rebellion will destroy them. (Example only.)
Repentance is a changed attitude. Repentance is a choice.
A choice to confess, and to turn away from the old.
Repentance is not easy.
But when the attitude of the heart changes, God honours that. When the heart changes towards God, the sinful habit dies. Sure, it can be reattached but that is entirely up to the sinner - he who chooses.
Recently I have been. Studying the Book of Jeremiah. One passage particularly caught my attention:
19 Therefore this is what the Lord says:
“If you repent, I will restore you
that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless, words,
you will be my spokesman.
Let this people turn to you,
but you must not turn to them.
20 I will make you a wall to this people,
a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you
but will not overcome you,
for I am with you
to rescue and save you,”
declares the Lord.
21 “I will save you from the hands of the wicked
and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”
that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless, words,
you will be my spokesman.
Let this people turn to you,
but you must not turn to them.
20 I will make you a wall to this people,
a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you
but will not overcome you,
for I am with you
to rescue and save you,”
declares the Lord.
21 “I will save you from the hands of the wicked
and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”
what I couldn't understand about this verse was the way God was telling Jeremia to repent. (To me, it seemed as if he was about the only one upright in the land, and he was delivering God's message to the God's people who had rebelled against Him - the people who, in turn, punished Jeremiah and tried to kill him.
So what did he have a.need to repent for? Asking God for revelation, I waited. A few days . Finally I read another version. This is (paraphrased) what God said to Jeremiah: "Repent of the undeserved thought/s in your heart that I am unfaithful and untrustworthy."
Ouch.
Put simply, Jeremiah wasn't fully trusting God.
Simple enough, it almost seems passable as reasonable. Sure, he is afraid, isn't doubt expected?
Well, that's the thing.
He was sinning, and what was wrong was the attitude of his heart. He didn't trust God.
Mmmm. That's a tricky one. In order for many of us to admit that, to God, let alone to ourselves, means we have to search our hearts and be willing to see ourselves as we are - unclean. Jesus will make us clean, yes! But first we must want to be clean, and repent. To turn. Turn from that which is not God. And God, in his faithfulness will restore us.
With this concept in mind, we realise that what makes us a sinner is not so much the sin but the attitude inside Sin or the act which displeases God is only the surface problem, like a bubbling, or the top of the volcano as it explodes that lava has to come from somewhere.
This attitude is decided by a choice - a choice we make in our hearts, that we often may not even be aware of a choice to rebel, to say no in our hearts, this is sin.
Yes, the outward sin matters, but it id only a reflection of what is within.
....
I challenge you - Search your heart. Ask God to search your heart. Thats scary stuff right there.
Do you want to live for God or against him? It is the attitude God sees. You cannot serve God and keep sin. Yes, there are things, sins, God waits to deal with. But it is the Attitude which he sees.
God wants us pure, like he is. Cleansed, and available, having a deep relationship with him.
Search your heart. Repent. Turn from what is not of God. From that which hinders your relationship with him.

Where does inspiration come from - and the thought of repeating history
It seems my blog is missing some words lately. Photographs are great, as are many millions of projects, but there is always something to be said for words - literally.
Okay, ignore that part. My point being, it is time to write again. At least, it will be soon.
I'm not sure what though. Something will come, and when it does, it will be, I daresay, a profound and relevant revelation.
Something new under the sun.
You know, something interesting that I have discovered lately, is that, despite what King Solomon stated in Ecclesiastes (there is nothing new under the sun) new things are being discovered all the time. A lot of old principles are being discovered, too, but new things are being 'created' inspired, etc.
Thinking on this topic the other day, I had been asking God for divine inspiration regarding some of my more recent artwork.
And yes, this may sound silly, but the thought did cross my mind that I would only be doing something re-hashed of something once done.
How silly of me! God has been showing me that despite ideas being repeated over time, there is still always something new - providing God is the inspiration leading you to that new something!
He particularly pointed out to me that being the God of creation, as He is, well, there just isn't anything He cannot do. So, well, if God made this earth, thought of all the incredible and amazing things we have around us today (I shan't list them all), how much more so can He still create, and reveal to us also!
God truly is the author of inspiration - when ideas dry up, ask God. There is no end to His ideas. To His brilliance. To the genius of God.

What the Lord has done in ME - and What He is still doing... though I know it not.
Wow. I don't know where to start, or really that there is a beginning.
There is merely a forward motion of progress; no apparent start and no apparent end. And so, this is the way, it would seem, life goes.
So be it. And what, exaclty, you ask... is that supposed to mean exactly? Not a huge deal. In some kind of optimistic way, though, it means that life goes on. Which it does. Funny thing is, that's the nature of life, isn't it? And yet God has organised it that way. Day in.. day out. Sun rises, sun sets. Seasons come and go.
Yes. Right now, I am meandering. So, shall I get the the point?
My title. If the above didn't exactly make much sense, I'll skip the waffle and give an interpretation, in, well, English.
So much has happened in my life over the past 3+ weeks. I've been busy, away, absolutely flat-out and sometimes bored out of my brain. (That was 3 weeks ago, home alone... )
As I stated abive, I never really know where or when, or how to start. Especially now, now that God has done something incredible in my life.
I suppose I'll go back to where I left off from my last post here, and a quick fill-in of what's been happening in this crazy mad life of mine. Most importantly, God has been changing me, and teaching me, and healing me. That last one is just something completely indescribable, the finality of finally being able to discard of these old wounds and burdens and be finally able to live alive - at last. I do not merely speak of my physical illness/ess and the healing which I have slowly been receiving from the Father for these (and praise His holy name) but rather of the deep, inner and crippling wounds I have carried about on the inside of me for as long as I can remember. As it stands, I am also convinced that physical illness as was in my case was only a very small glimpse of the turmoil that was going on inside me.
My body at last, did weaken from the inside calamity and began to show as a physical illness. I truly believe that many physical conditions are only expressions of what is really going on inside - as it eventually has to get out somewhere. In many ways, it is a mercy it has happened to me now, that I am able to see and recognise these things which have been suffocating and hindering me for so long - and by God's incredible grace they have been revealed to me.
With that said, I can only say I am finally, at long last really beginning to truly understand (as if a mere human could) the incredible healing of God, the trueness of it, the freedom which can now be grasped, and the hope alighted. I know I will never be the same again, my Lord has touched me more than I ever thought possible, and has set my very world ablaze. Not in some crazy, wild, uncontrollable or childish manner, but in a way so deep, so hidden within me, so tangible, so true, it simply is. He is in me, He has healed me.
Does it not say in the Bible, 'come, and tell of the wonders He has done'? I used to think that was all very well - for others, and for truly miraculous circumstances. But not only is our God a God of miracles, He is a God of everyday miracles, of the little things, so concerned with changing our hearts and ensuring we know how much (or get a glimpse of) just how incredible and never-ending is His love.
With that thought in mind, I will end here, but do return, for you shall find me ever changed by the Grace of our Lord, and it even surprises me (who has had a close walk with God) to discover just how much I keep talking of what He has done - and in a genuine, real, way - as one who has experienced the depths of darkness and has been brought back into life and light! And O what glorious, real, saving light that is!
